(Minato, Tokyo; President 有泉大樹), the Japan entity of US-based API and AI connectivity company Kong, announced on 2026-11-04 that it has begun providing 'Kong AI Gateway' to Mizuho Financial Group as the connection-management layer for its group-wide AI agent programme. Under a Kong product contract signed in June 2026, Kong Konnect and Kong AI Gateway sit between AI agents, LLMs and business systems to centralise access control and connection policies and to make per-application and per-user LLM token usage and cost visible, including agents built by business staff on Dify Enterprise within the 'みずほWiz Base' platform. The release frames it as supporting Mizuho's vision of using AI agents at a scale of thousands; Kong MCP Gateway and MCP Registry are under consideration for later phases.
